Anthony Guarnieri, Ph.D., MFT
In my practice I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families for the past 43 years. I have been a graduate school professor for the past 35 years, currently teaching at The California Institute of Integral Studies, and trained interns as a clinical supervisor. I teach child and adolescent psychotherapy, human development, expressive arts therapy, and addictions studies. In addition, I am the Director of Clinical Studies for The Program for Counseling in Schools. My work has inspired me to write a collection of essays on working with complicated children and family systems.
I offer the following services at my office in Berkeley, CA and provide telephone consultation locally and nationally:
- Child, adolescent, and family therapy
- Family crisis intervention for problematic behavior and addictions
- Alcohol and drug intervention
- Therapy and interventions for athletes at the high school, college, and professional levels
